O’Gorman Junior High School is blessed to have dedicated parishes, teachers, parents, alumni and friends striving to achieve a world-class education with a Christ-centered vision. All areas of the curriculum support the mission of building a community of faith. Students take core curriculum courses in the areas of social studies, science, mathematics, language arts and religion. The religion courses focus on faith development, theology and values. Along with our core curriculum students also take exploratory courses such as speech and debate, art, and literature. O’Gorman Junior High School is fortunate to be able to offer four “Credit Before Grade 9″ courses (Algebra I, Spanish I, German I, and Computer Applications) to 8th grade students who qualify. Additionally, students may also qualify to take other high school level courses at O’Gorman High School if they have met all qualifications and prerequisites. OGJH also offers academic services and programs for students with special learning needs. These include specialized classes, accommodation plans, classroom support, study center support, alternative testing and team meetings.
