About

We are dedicated to providing a well-rounded education for our students. Along with our core curriculum of social studies, science, mathematics, language arts, and theology, students also take exploratory courses such as speech and debate, art, and literature. O’Gorman Junior High School is fortunate to be able to offer three “Credit Before Grade 9″ courses (Algebra I, Spanish I, German I, Latin I) to 8th grade students who qualify. Additionally, students may also qualify to take other high school level courses at O’Gorman High School if they have met all qualifications and prerequisites.

Each year, O’Gorman Junior High School students consistently score higher on standardized tests than public school students in Sioux Falls and the state of South Dakota. We are very proud of the high scores that our students consistently earn.

O'Gorman Junior High School is proud to be a 2019 National Blue Ribbon School. The National Blue Ribbon School award is the highest award a school can earn. This award affirms the hard work of students, educators, families, and communities in creating safe and welcoming schools where students master challenging content.
