A MESSAGE FROM OUR PRINCIPAL

We are off and running into another school year.  The first weeks of school have been a time of readjustment and excitement for everyone. It has been a pleasure seeing all of the students and their families the past few weeks.

There is an enormous amount of pride and community shared by everyone in the Sioux Falls Catholic Schools. The faculty and staff of OGJH are anxious to partner with our families and to answer the call to love your children as Jesus loves them.  We will continue the tradition at O’Gorman Junior High of daily improvement through prayer and academic excellence.

As you are well aware, technology is widely the choice of communication of many adolescents. We encourage to parents to partner with OGJH in teaching and expecting our students to use social media and texting platforms in a positive and productive way. We ask our students to ask themselves these three questions prior to posting/sending a message:

  1. Is it true?
  2. Is it kind?
  3. Is it you? (Does the post reflect who you really are?)

Lastly, please understand the safety and security of your child is our first priority. If you or your child hears something or sees something that causes a concern, please contact the school immediately. This approach allows us to get ahead of potential issues and maintain safety for all.

Let’s make it a great year!

Mr. Wade Charron, Principal
