O’Gorman Junior High School is proud to offer student organizations and clubs that support the academic and faith mission of our school. The following clubs are currently being offered:

Students for Life

Students for Life is a long-standing, student organization who meets once a month prior to school starting. The mission of SFL is to help students look outside themselves in order to gain a greater respect for human life from conception until natural death.

O’Gorman Junior High School Students for Life  Parent Leaders  2017—2018

We meet in the Band/Choir room at 7:20 am once a month on Fridays. All are welcome!!   Please contact us with any questions or concerns!

Awarded to one current 7th and 8th grade student, who is a current member of O’Gorman Junior High School Students for Life, has attended at least 4 meetings or activities, exhibits outstanding respect for all peers and teachers, and participates in Pro-Life activities.

Students involved in Robotics compete in an organization called FIRST LEGO League (FLL).  FLL is a robotics program for middle school aged students, and is designed to get children excited about science and technology, and teach them valuable employment and life skills. Teams consist of up to ten students. Robotics typically begins in October and state competition concludes in January.

Worship Team

8th grade students who are involved in band and choir may also choose to be a member of the OGJH Worship Team, which performs at our weekly school Masses. The Worship Team practices on Wednesday mornings before school. Students interested in being a part of the OGJH Worship Team, should visit with their music teacher.

Student Council

Interested students must first apply and be recommended by their teachers to be a member of Student Council. Students are then selected for this group based on a survey of their peersStudent Council members assist new students and incoming 6th grade students with transition to OGJH, and are involved in service projects throughout the year. They meet throughout the year, usually before school.
