The O’Gorman Junior High School Parent Advisory Board  is a voluntary group of parents who meet periodically throughout the year to discuss various events and topics and to be a non-policy making “sounding board” to the principal. People involved on the Parent Advisory Board must be willing to provide planning and organizational help for many of the activities that are held for our students and staff. Meetings are held approximately once per quarter from 12:00-1:00 PM. Presence at every meeting is not required. This year’s meetings will be held on the following days:

Wednesday, September 12
Wednesday, November 14
Wednesday, January 9
Wednesday, March 6

* Serves as a sounding board and provide feedback to the principal
* Provide discussion, input and feedback on various programs, topics and issues
* Serve as a liaison between parents and administration
* Welcome new families to the Sioux Falls Catholic Schools community
* Assist in the seventh grade recruitment process (calling SFCS 6th grade students and religious education 6th grade students)
* Pray for O’Gorman Junior High School faculty and support staff throughout the year
* Provide snacks, lunch and dinner to teachers during parent-teacher conferences
* Organize snacks for teacher and staff during Staff Appreciation Week (1st Week in May)
*Organize the 8th Grade Graduation Reception/Party
